I purchased this hard drive a half a year ago because i wanted to backup my dying laptop and its still working great. I can take it almost anywhere and its a breeze to operate, always connects to both my computers. The Iomega has more than enough storage for me and the price is unbeatable. The case logic case goes great with it too. The only downside was i was led to believe it would come with a 5 volt power chord, but instead it has a usb one. It's no big deal though because the usb 2.0 gives it enough juice
Thanks Iomega |

| This drive has a very small footprint, and installed seamlessly on a Windows XP machine as a backup drive - I didn't even have to install the software on the enclosed CDROM. Also, it showed up remotely (using Go 2 My PC) immediately after install and has never failed, after about five weeks of constant use. That's quite a nice combination. Superfast install, reliable, and small footprint. This would even make a suitable audio drive (for smaller projects). I'd buy another one if I need this size again. |

| I moved files, such as pictures, from my internal hard drive onto the Iomega, thereby freeing up much needed space. The product worked nicely for me. However, after the file copy, this product became very warm. Therefore, when not in use, I keep the unit powered off (switch is in the back). |

This product gets VERY HOT while running. It is HOT to the the touch. I would not recommend this product to anyone. |

| I read a lot of good reviews for this hard drive, so I decided to give it a try. Maybe it's because I have a Mac, I don't know, but my drive didn't work for me at all. I looked under system profiler to see if my MacBook Pro recognized it at all; it showed up as a firewire device but that was it. I even tried to see if my Windows XP virtual machine would recognize it; it didn't. I got an error message. I'd also like to mention I tried both the firewire and USB cables that came with the drive; neither worked. I ended up getting an RMA from the day after I received it. |
