| I have a Sharp XR10S projector and I bought this replacement lamp, but then looking at the User's Manual it showed that the exact piece for replacement lamp was different than this one. I made a mistake and I'm sharing this with you, because I tried the installation by myself (it's pretty easy), but I realized that the piece didn't match exactly in the space assigned for it. I live abroad the US, so changing the part is a long process. I tried the installation and it worked! But only for five times... So next thing I'll buy is a brand new projector. I purchased the lamp on June 2009. It worked fine at first but then stopped working at the end of October 2009 which was not even less than 6 months later. These lamps are supposed to last about 3 years if you use it regularly. My projector is in a family room that we only used about twice a week for no more than 5 hours. They took a week to send me a replacment. The lamp stopped working again in early May 2010. I contacted the seller and they said the lamp hours are not reliable. They offered me a discount rate to purchase another one for $149. I was disgusted. I would not purchase another lamp from this seller so that in 6 months it can go out again.

| I bought this bulb as a replacement for my projector. The last replacement bulb I bought was not the name brand by the manufacturer (Sharp) and I consistently had problems with it. It costed much less, but for some reason, the off-brand bulb was always slow to come on, or would not come on at all: I would have to turn off the projector and re-start it several times before it would finally light up. (I've seen similar comments from others who have also bought the off-brand bulbs.) With this bulb, however, it works perfectly and quickly the first time, every time - just like the original. My only frustration is with the price. It costs so much! The original bulb only lasted about 10% of what they say it should (200 hours - instead of 2,000 - 3,000 hours.) The off-brand bulb lasted less than a year and I only got about 5% out of its life. So, my main concern is with how many hours I will really get from this bulb. It's so expensive that I can't afford to keep replacing them - especially more than once per year. It is working so much better than the off-brand one, however, that I would strongly recommend paying the extra cash to get this one from Sharp. |
| I bough tthis lamp on 1/13/2010. Today is 2/22/2010 at 10:52pm, and it blew out. This is my 4th or 5th bulb. Wits End! | 2010-02-23 | 1 / 5 |

| I bought this lamp on 1/13/2010. Today is 2/22/2010 at 10:52pm, and it blew out. The package it came in says there is a 90 day warranty, and I wasn't close to hitting that mark this time. I hope they replace the product. This is my 4th or 5th bulb in 3 years. I'm at my wits end as to what to do. I paid good money for my projector, and I don't want it to be a lost investment. I don't have the king of money to keep paying for bulbs. There should be some kind of legal action or refund given in my opinion. I love my projector, but this is ridiculous. I'm starting to wonder who is to blame for this malfunction. Is it Sharp or Texas Instruments? |

| I purchased a cheaper bulb but had all kinds of trouble with not starting or taking a long time to come on. Then I bought this one which was an OEM Sharp Electronics and it works great. Starts right up and is as bright as it should be. |
