| I am a big believer in the Dummies Books! I needed something to get me over the "hump" after having used Word 2003 for so long. I had no idea there were so many convenient do-dads and helpers. Call me old-fashioned, but I confess it took me a few years to catch up with the rest of the world. I wanted to do it with a little knowledge under my belt. This was a great way to learn all my options in this new (to me) formatting way of doing things. I actually "enjoyed" learning it all. |

| I purchased a few of the "Dummy" books to help me navigate through Microsoft programs. As part of the older generation, I have not learned all the shortcuts and tricks that make the software useful. About half of the time, I am able to find the process for the task I am trying to accomplish or fix a problem using the book. However, the index is not cross referenced enough to be able to locate solutions. I think you are better off paying the extra money and buying the reference book. |
